For the trunk segment — I want to slow-mo a calf picking up a single blade of grass. Forty thousand muscles in there, basically a Swiss army knife welded to its face. Can we get that shot?

Jon's got six hours of trunk footage from the Mara. They strip bark, siphon water, snorkel through rivers, comfort calves. No other appendage in nature does that many jobs.

We have to land the ending on the threat side. Savanna elephant numbers are down roughly sixty percent over fifty years. Forest elephants worse. Ivory poaching is easing in some range states but habitat fragmentation is the slow killer.

Show the corridor work though. Northern Kenya's community conservancies are the success story — collared herds are routing through them safely now.
